Histomorphometric changes in the ovaries of thymectomized guinea pigs

Hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis function is necessary for maintaining proper female reproductive cycle. This study aimed to evaluate the ovarian histomorphometric and histoarchitectural changes in neonatal, prepubertal pubertal thymectomized guinea pigs. A total of 30 pigs, sham-operated (n-5) were studied each group. The diameter number follicles among sham operated pigs during estrus phase estrous cycle was compared. Gonadal accessory organs weights microscopic features thymectomized. There statistically significant ovary neonatal but no observed Neonatal showed their weight as well including reduced thickness myometrium uterus less mucosal folding fallopian tube compared But thymectomy did not affect gonads organs. Depending on time thymectomy, these results indicate morphological ovaries after females.
